Miatta Dabo Dewey & Leboeuf LLP
Miatta Dabo was born and raised in
Freetown, Sierra Leone. She received
a
B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Morgan State University and
graduated
magna cum laude from University of Baltimore Law School in 2001 where
she
was the Editor-in-Chief of the Intellectual Property Law Journal and a
member of the Law Review Journal. She clerked for the Honorable Judge
Ellen Hollander of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and the
Honorable
Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. of the United States District Court for
the
Southern District of Maryland. She previously worked at Veneable LLP in
commercial litigagtion. In 2006, Miatta joined Dewey & Leboeuf LLP, as
an
associate in the White Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations Group,
International Arbitration and International Litigation Groups. Miatta
is
also a certified public accountant, writer, mentor and human rights
activist (with Amnesty International, Children International, Equality
NOW,
and Feed the Children, among others). In her free time, Miatta combines
her love of traveling and fashion design to design jewelry and
accessories
for her boutique - Boutique MIX, and helps to raise money for the
victims
of civil wars around the world on her blog -
