Ethan Davidsohn

5 Olde Tavern and Grill

Ethan Davidsohn began his cooking career in the kitchens of his mother and both of his grandmothers at around age 6.  He got his first job cooking at age 14 and has not stopped cooking since.  Ethan’s culinary career has taken him all over the country holding numerous positions in several award winning restaurants.  Just after receiving his degree from the Western Culinary Institute he began work at Veritable Quandary a well known highly rated Portland restaurant.  Also while in Portland, Ethan worked as a chef at the University of Portland where he was responsible for preparing meals, which always included several vegetarian and vegan options, for the student body, faculty, and staff.  He now lives in South Royalton with his girlfriend Emily who is a vegetarian and their Great Dane Ramona who is not.  He is a chef at the 5 Olde Tavern and Grille where he has been responsible for increasing the number of vegetarian options on the menu and is always happy to fulfill vegan special requests.
