Juli Beth Hinds

Ms. Hinds serves as Director of Planning & Zoning in South Burlington, VT. She is responsible for comprehensive planning, development review, and water quality programs for South Burlington. Juli Beth has been a leader in making South Burlington the first community in the state to create a stormwater utility, a city service that maintains city owned and operated stormwater systems. She is the project manager for EPA's National Integrated Water Resources Demonstration Project for Chittenden County, Vermont, and serves on the Decentralized Research Advisory Committee at the Water Environment Research Foundation. Her research focuses on the interaction between water resource infrastructure and land use outcomes. She graduated from Hollins College and earned her Masters in City and Regional Planning at Rutgers University. She and her husband Nick live in South Burlington where they attempt to keep up with their four children and Brittany.
