Kevin Leske Vermont Attorney General's Office, Environmental Division Kevin Leske has been an Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Division of the Vermont Attorney General's Office since 2002. For the past two years, he has focused almost exclusively on air pollution and global warming cases, including Green Mountain Chrysler v. Crombie, Mass. v. EPA, and Conn. v. AEP. He also representsVermont in multi-state Clean Air Act cases, and argues Vermont Supreme Court appeals in land-use cases and environmental enforcement actions.
Before joining the Vermont AG's Office,
Mr. Leske worked in Washington, D.C., for a small environmental law
office where he litigated Clean Water Act citizen suits for
environmental groups, such as Friends of the Earth and Sierra Club.
He also represented the Province of Ontario, Canada in Clean Air Act
cases in federal courts of appeals and before the U.S. Supreme
Court.
Mr. Leske is a graduate
of Vermont Law School, where he received a J.D. and a Master's
degree in environmental law (magna cum laude). He also holds a
Master of Science degree in environmental sciences and policy (with
Highest Honors) from The Johns Hopkins University.
Currently, he is working
in Washington, D.C., as a Supreme Court Fellow for the National
Association of Attorneys General.
