Nancy Mears
Vermont Green Building
Network
Nancy Mears is the executive
director of the Vermont Green Building Network.
“Green Building has long been my passion and my experience has uniquely
prepared me to serve the mission of the Vermont Green Building Network“,
said Nancy, “As an architect, I’ve developed the knowledge and skills
necessary to understand and address the challenges of creating a
sustainable built environment”.
Nancy received a BS from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture
from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked as a registered
architect at firms in Maryland, and Vermont, and was an environmental
planner in the field of hazardous waste & toxics reduction in the State
of Washington. She has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the
Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems, and local planning
commissions in Vermont. Her experience ranges from planning the first
annual walkathon for affordable housing in Austin, Texas, to
coordinating the Washington State Department of Ecology’s sustainability
website. |
